I graduated from St Mary’s University with an MSc in Sports Rehabilitation. I have worked in a range of settings, treating people with acute and chronic injuries. I have also worked with sports teams providing pitch side care, soft tissue therapy and taping which helped me to refine my skills in assessing and treating acute sports injuries.
During my Master’s I worked in a private practice providing neurological activity-based rehabilitation to clients with spinal cord injuries. This experience was extremely rewarding and I built some great relationships with clients. I thoroughly enjoyed coming up with games for the kids which were incorporated into their rehabilitation to make it fun.
Since my Master’s I have worked with a local football team and a hockey club in Sussex to provide pitch side care and ran an injury clinic for players to use. This experience was brilliant for me to hone my skills and get players back to what they love doing. I provided soft tissue therapy techniques, taping and rehabilitation protocols to treat and return players back to training and play.
Prior to my Sports Rehabilitation degree I undertook a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Surrey. Here I furthered my knowledge in physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription and developed my understanding of scientific principles which determine sport and exercise performance. I also worked in an exercise laboratory in the Surrey Sports Park which ignited my passion for caring for people in a clinical setting and lead me to injury rehabilitation.
My aim is for you to return to what you love doing and exceed your pre-injury level. I do this by listening to what you want and working together to set and achieve your goals by using an evidence-based approach. No matter what your sporting level I am here to guide and assist you through your rehabilitation.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy playing hockey, watching a whole host of different sports and I love getting out on my road bike in the warmer months.
