I started my career in injury rehabilitation and sports therapies in 2015 enrolling on to a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. I completed a three-year degree course specialising in the injuries of elite athletes, as well as working with the general population who play sport at recreational and sub elite levels. Within the degree course I completed a number of work placements. I started with a placement within an NHS physiotherapy outpatients department in the south west of the country before working with London Welsh RFU providing deep tissue sports massage and immediate care with pitch side trauma. For this I was located in Chiswick, South West London where I was responsible for providing the same duties for a semi professional rugby club.
Additionally, I have had experience in private healthcare and physiotherapy clinics local to the South West London area. In 2017 I was part of a team of voluntary therapists providing massage to runners of the London marathon at the end of the race, working on behalf of Breast cancer care charity. I also worked in the university’s own injury clinic providing injury rehabilitation to both student’s athletes and the general public before graduating from the university in 2018. My passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation stems from not only past experiences of injury myself, but also my passion for sport and exercise. While also professionally being able to provide my patients with a pain and injury free higher standard of living and performance.
